Parenting is one of the most rewarding, exciting, happiest, and yes scariest, times of your life. We are not here to help you become the “Perfect Family” because none of us have perfect families. However, the Family Ministry is here to help you on your parenting journey.

We have excellent Children’s and Student Ministries for your children and students, and awesome teaching and small groups to help you in your personal spiritual growth. The Family Ministry is kind of like a link between those. Have you ever got in the car after church and asked your kids what they learned about and the answer was, “God”? We know kids can’t remember everything, nor do they always want to talk about it with their parents. Because we know what every child is learning, we want to share that information with you. It’s all right here at your fingertips! Just click on the age appropriate link below. You’ll find tools to use at home, and topics of discussion you can have with your kids, and fun ideas that will help you reinforce and talk about them when you are at home, on the road, going to bed and getting up.

Ever wish you knew another parent who was going through the same thing as you, or had been through a similar situation? Someone you could share experiences with or someone that would pray for you or just listen? Maybe things are going great right now on your journey, but you want to prepare for the path ahead. We have several parenting studies available, some taught here on campus throughout the year and some available to do in your small group. Not in a small group, but interested in finding out how you can be a part of one? Click on the Small Groups and Parent Studies link below to find out more up to date information.

Ever wonder if there is a book that would help you come up with creative discipline ideas or that would help with a special needs child? Interested in being a foster or adoptive parent? Going through a divorce or dealing with the news of a serious illness? We are here to be a resource to parents as you follow the path God has for you and your family. For more information, just click on the links below or contact our Family Ministry Pastor.

FAMILY MINISTRY VISION
This ministry exists to help parents of children, ages birth—18, be the spiritual leaders of their family and to follow the path God has for you.

“Direct your children onto the right path and when they are older they will not leave it.”  Proverbs 22:6

“Commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.  Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.  Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."  Deuteronomy 6:6-9
